Amer/Amber Fort

Amber Fort is the fort of the 16th century which is located at Devisinghpura at the distance of 11 km from the pink city.

This Fort was started constructed on 21 December 1550 and completed on 6 July 1614.

Amber Fort is the famous fort of Jaipur. Raja Man Singh lived in this fort. This fort stands for the magnificent Hindu and Muslim architecture.

We are welcomed through Suraj Pol and Sun Gate of Amber Fort. After going through this gate, we reach Jaleb Chowk.

There are many places in the fort that we can reach by stairways in the port on your way. The places which you can visit through stairs are Hall of public audience or temple and many more.

Kings and prominent ministers used to meet at this place. The fragrant Sukh Mandir stands opposite to the hall of the public audience.

There is a beautiful view of Maota Lake. We can see it even from Jal Mandir.

City Palace Jaipur

Historical Places In Jaipur: City Palace is the perfect example of Rajput and Mughal architecture. It is known to be the embodiment of Jaipur.

This palace lies in the heart of the Pink City. This palace has occupied one-seventh of the area of the old city of Jaipur.


City Palace was established between 1729 and 1732.

The significant places of the City Palace like Diwan E Aam, Diwan E Khas, Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Museum, and the temple got build by Maharaja Jal Singh II. The lush green gardens encircle these all stunning multiplex.

Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is a very famous and Historical Places In Jaipur. There may not be any person who has not heard about Hawa Mahal.

Hawa Mahal has earned much fame in the world, and it is an essential part of the pink city. This place was specially built for the princess and queens of Jaipur and also known as the Palace of Breeze.

This Mahal is a majestic red sandstone building which has 950 windows. It got built in the year 1799 during the period of Maharaja Sawai Singh.


These 950 windows got beautiful carved and shaped as the honeycomb. These windows allow the fresh air or breeze to enter the Mahal and make the Mahal, the perfect place during the summers.

The Mahal has five-stories with carved windows, arched roofs, balconies, and hanging cornices.

Jaigarh Fort

Jaigarh Fort is the strongest in Jaipur. This fort got used in wars in most of the times and famed for Jaivana Canon.

This Canon is the most extensive canon in the entire world. Despite used in the wars, this fort never got conquered. It is because this fort also named the fort of victory.


This fort of Jaipur is situated in the Eagles Hill or the Aravalli Mountain’s Cheel Ka Teela.

The walls of the Jaigarh fort are made up of red sandstone. These walls are 3 km long and 1 km wide.

There are well-maintained gardens in the fort, and there is a watchtower in the center of the fort.

During the Mughal Period, this fort was the main production of cannon. It got displayed on the premises of the fort. Indo-Persian is the architecture style of the Jaigarh Fort.

Jal Mahal is located in the heart of the Man Sagar Lake which is magnificent of Jal Mahal.

It is one of the prime tourist attractions of Jaipur.

It seems to be floating on the waters of Man Sagar Lake. It is because this mahal got named Jal Mahal.

This Man Sagar Lake got created in the 16th Century when a dam got constructed to conserve the water.


Jal Mahal got built in the year 1799 by Maharaja Madho Singh I. This Mahal got modeled as the same as the Lake Palace of Udaipur.

Jantar Mantar, Jaipur

It is a famous tourist place in Jaipur. Jantar Mantar is the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This place got built with the rubble of brick which is inebriated in lime. There are stones’ and brass’ instruments which are displayed for the public.

Jantar Mantar can observe astronomy with the masonry instruments. These instruments are;

Nahargarh Fort

Nahargarh Fort is situated on the edge of the Aravalli hills. This fort is the smallest from the Jaigarh Fort and Amer Fort.

This fort got built for the protection of the capital. There is a beautiful view of the lake in front of this fort.


There are a food court and restaurant in the fort. This small fort serves as a wax museum and Jaipur glass palace.

Now, The Wax Museum is the most attractive place in this fort. This museum houses the life-size replicas of the famous national heroes and celebrities that are made up of wax.

This fort is best to visit for the short day trips, and you can experience the pastel buildings in the fort. Winter season is the best time to visit the fort because of the climatic conditions.

Albert Hall Museum

It is the oldest museum & Historical places in Jaipur Rajasthan. The Albert Hall Museum is located in the middle of Ram Niwas Garden in Jaipur.

This museum is the collection of rare paintings, chiseled brass-ware, exquisite jewelry, pottery and natural stones, metal sculptures, ivory goods, and crystal works.


Prince of Wales, Albert Edward had laid the foundation of this museum in the year 1876. It got constructed entirely in the year 1887.

Since that time, this museum became the knowledge center with a lot of information on the history of civilizations, and it became a place for traditional craft forms and Indian art.

Today, this museum even serves as the house of several antique carpets, arms, wood-crafts, and weapons and also the house for an Egyptian mummy which belongs to the Ptolemaic Era.
