Trimbakeshwar Temple is the famous holy temple in Rishikesh. This shrine is also known as the Tera Manzil Temple, constructed as an abode of Lord Shiva.

This temple was built as one of the many Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. I have seen intricate designs and architectural brilliance on its walls and idols inside this temple.

Trimbakeshwar temple is around 400 years old, the most visited temple in Rishikesh. This famous temple is located at Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh.

This temple is just 7 km away from the center of the city. Trimbakeshwar Temple’s timing is from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the most famous temple in Rishikesh compared to all other temples there.

Besides the popularity and location of this temple, it looks small if you compare it with other Lord Shiva temples in Rishikesh.


I felt the positive vibes during a visit to this temple, irrespective of the size of the temple. This temple is located inside a dense forest.

It was more fun visiting this temple when I went through the jungle. I have also visited the waterfalls and other marvels of nature while visiting here.

This temple is located on Kotdwar Pauri Road, Uttarakhand. This temple is just 7 km away from the center of the city.

Shatrughan Mandir

I have headed towards the Shatrughan Mandir because I want to seek all the calm and peace in the world. This temple is famous for peace and calm in the world.

This temple is one of the best temples in Rishikesh. I have not only worshipped inside this temple but also practiced yoga on this temple’s premises.

As a dedication to Lakshman, the young brother of Lord Rama, this temple was constructed. It was built along with the other temple situated in Thrissur, the district of Kerala.

Shatrughna temple can be visited for 24 hours. There is no entry fee. It would be best if you only explored this temple.

Lakshman Temple

Lakshman temple is a famous Hindu temple in Rishikesh dedicated to the young brother of Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman.

According to the beliefs of devotees, this temple is located in the same place where Lord Lakshman has meditated to attain spiritual knowledge.

Bhootnath Temple

Bhootnath temple was built in remembrance of Lord Shiva. According to many people’s beliefs, Lord Shiva rested at this place during the period when he planned to marry Sati, his wife.

Kunjapuri Devi Temple

Kunjapuri Devi Temple is the best temple in Rishikesh, where I got to know more and have learned about the Hindu religion in detail.


This temple in Rishikesh is located just 25 km away from the central city of Rishikesh. I have reached the temple by car in one hour.

I have explored this temple in just two hours. This temple offers a sight worth treasuring during the time of Dussehra and Navratri.

During these times, the temple is lit with lights all over, and people come here for the grand celebration of Navratri and Dussehra.


Kunjapuri Devi Temple is located on the Hindolakhal road in Uttrakhand. This temple is 11 km away from the center of the city.

Raghunath Temple

Raghunath temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, situated at the Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. A small water reservoir known as Rishikund is also located in front of this temple in Rishikesh.

I have visited this temple and even enjoyed spending some of my time in the local market around Raghunath Temple.
