Is it worth travelling to London during the pandemic?

London always makes for a great day out or weekend away. Nothing beats hopping on the train from your local town and arriving in the hustle and bustle of the busy city ready to make new memories.

Of course, ever since coronavirus began to spread globally, travelling on public transport has changed significantly. We must all try to keep our distance from others and wear masks to help prevent the spread also you can follow some of the guidelines that how you can travel safely while corona.

Currently, the UK is facing another national lockdown, meaning that individuals from different households aren’t allowed to mix, and non-essential shops aren’t allowed to open. This doesn’t mean that you and your family can’t get out for some much-needed fresh air, however.

Playgrounds are also open, in case the kids are desperate to get on the swings or go for a ride down the slide.

Have a picnic in one of the city’s amazing parks

From St. James’ Park and Regent’s Park to Hyde Park and St. George’s Garden, there are so many options to choose from when it comes to picking a place to have a socially distanced picnic.

Of course, in these cooler climates, you must wrap up warm before you head out for the day!

Take in all the sights

From watching the guard ceremony changing outside Buckingham Palace to taking a selfie in front of the gorgeous bright lights in Piccadilly Circus, there are so many magnificent things to take in in London.

If you’re stuck for ideas when you get there, try to spot the pagodas in Chinatown, follow in the footsteps of the Beatles and cross the zebra crossing on Abbey Road, or watch the Tower Bridge open.

All these little things will keep you entertained for hours.

From South Bank, the Houses of Parliament look stunning, from the Millennium Bridge, the Tate Modern is simply magnificent, and from Leake Street, you’ll be able to get some great shots of London’s cool street art.
