When I had visited there, then I came to know that why this fort is so famous. Kumbhalgarh Fort is a full package of history and the second-longest wall in the world.

However, there is an entry fee if anyone wants to visit there. For the local citizens, tourists, visitors of BIMSTEC and SAARC countries it is 15 rupees per person. Moreover, for foreigners, it is 200 rupees person.

I guess the amount is not too much and one can easily explore the fort easily. So if you are planning a trip with your family, then I would suggest that you visiting the fort can be a good option for you.

Best Time to Visit the Fort

Well, it depends on the time and weather that you people feel comfortable to visit the fort. However, in my advice, the months of November to February when there is winter time is the perfect occasion to visit the fort.

When I was planning to visit the fort, then I was waiting for the December month so that I can enjoy the weather comfortably.

Also, along with the months of wintertime, the rainy season is also an excellent time when you can visit the fort. In the rainy season, the entire landscape of the fort is entirely green that is nothing but less than a magical beauty.

In addition to this, the weather is also significant and pleasant that attracts many of the visitors including me. So if you are thinking and planning to visit the fort, then I would prefer you to visit in the winter or a rainy season.

Kumbhalgarh Fort History

Kumbhalgarh fort found in Rajasthan is built over a period of almost 15 years under the supervision of the reputed architect, Mandan. This fort is ideally situated between the eleven peaks of the Aravalli hills.

Once it was captured by the Mughal army, and during that time Mughal had poisoned all the supplies for the water of the fort. Before I had gone there, I did not know much about the fort.

However, when I had reached there, then I came to know some fascinating facts about the fort.

Let me discuss some of them with you people. The fort is the birthplace of the legendary Maharana Pratap. It is one of the unique places in the history of Rajasthan and also in the hearts of Rajput as well.

Places to See Inside the Kumbhalgarh Fort

When I reached the fort, then I found many vital structures that are encompassed inside the fort.

Some of them were Kumbha palace, the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, Badal Mahal, Jain temples, and many more. Many Brahmanical temples are elaborated in carved and magnificent structures.

However, among all the temples, I found that Neelkanth Mahadev temple is one of the most important and revered temples which are dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The other inspiring that I found was Parsavanth Jain temple, Vedi temple, Garh Ganesh temple, and the Bawan Devi temple. There is one more fantastic and magnificent place inside the fort, and that is, Nimbu Pol.

This place bears the testimony to the great sacrifice of the faithful maid PannaDhai. She was the one who had saved the young to be Maharaja Udai Singh by sending her son in spite of his place.

How to Reach Kumbhalgarh Fort

Now the most critical question that must be striking in your mind is that what is the best way to reach the fort?

Also, I shall like to tell you that there is the nearest railway station and airport as well which is almost 84 km away from the fort.

Also, as we all know that Udaipur is a famous city that is connected with all types of metro and air methods. Moreover, anyone can easily visit the fort from the state, Udaipur, by traveling 2 hours by road.

However, I would like you to advise that if you are going to reach the fort from Delhi, then please take a flight or you can choose the train as an option.

However, do not travel by bus. Because I have seen many people, you visit there by bus. So choose flight as your priority for reaching the Kumbhalgarh Fort.

Here I would prefer to give you people some of the fantastic tips about seeing the fort. Check out below:

• There is a light and show that starts at 6:45 pm every evening. Please do not miss that at any cost.

• After the show ends, the entire fort is illuminated for about an hour that gives it a magical aura. One can enjoy this time by clicking some spectacular spots of the fort.

• Try to wear comfortable footwear because the fort is a long steep trek.
