Making it into the top 5, is Bristol. This city often gets overlooked when people think of city breaks in England, however it is somewhere you have to visit.

Bristol is described as one of the happiest cities to visit in England and the best place to live for under 25s. For that reason, this city break is best suited to young adults. Bristol is a creative, artsy city and the home of famous artist Banksey.

The city is vibrant with stunning historic architecture, a large variety of cuisines, arguably the best food scene in the country, Bristol is an exciting city to visit.

One of our favourite things about the city is the electric scooters that you can access almost anywhere, hire for as long as you like and travel around the city in a unique but eco-friendly way.

What makes the city so great is its array of fancy cocktail bars and restaurants alongside some amazing activities. We recommend visiting the viking museum which is nothing like you’ve seen before.

There are other museums to visit too, including the national railway museum if you fancied some time away from the bustling bars.

Another thing we love about York is that it is such a friendly city, which is a common theme up north as it appears to have a much more welcoming atmosphere than some of the cities down south.

The reason London is number 2 on the list is because it’s so expensive. Although it’s expected to be more expensive in the capital city, it makes this a less affordable weekend city break.

Built on the industrial revolution, this city makes the most of its traditional authentic spaces and scenic beer gardens on the edges of the city’s canals. This city is great for shopping, drinking, eating and has lots of activities to do too.
