If you want to make your partner happy during your indoor date, make sure you have many ideas on what to do, especially on what to eat at dinner. It can include light dinner ideas to have a very low-key atmosphere while eating with your special one.

But it will be more special if you cook something delicious and romantic at the same time. Nothing on your mind? Worry no more because this list will give you those date night recipes!

1. Creamy Chicken Piccata

It turns out that making this chicken dish at home from scratch is considerably more straightforward than you might think. The show’s star is the rich pan sauce made with cream, garlic, white wine, lemon juice, and chicken stock.

It is the ideal meal to prepare if your significant other enjoys chicken and creamy foods. First, butterfly each chicken breast. Put some parchment paper on top, then pound it to a thickness of approximately 14 inches—season both sides with salt and pepper generously.

To create four chicken pieces, cut each breast in half lengthwise. Add the flour to a wide, shallow dish and sprinkle flour on each piece of chicken, then shake off any extra. Warm the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.

Fry the chicken on each side for 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown. Chicken should be taken out of the pan and put aside. The white wine in the pan for approximately a minute or until it has reduced by half. Cook for about two minutes, stirring, until the butter, garlic, and capers are aromatic.

For 5 minutes cooked it, or until the sauce has slightly thickened, after mixing in the lemon juice and chicken stock. Returning the chicken to the pan after adding the cream, stir.

After sprinkling with parsley, you should turn the chicken to coat it in the sauce. Remove the sauce from the heat after simmering for 2 minutes or when it slightly thickens. Angel hair pasta should be the vehicle for the chicken and sauce.

2. Seafood Fra Diavolo

There is no better way to say “I love you” than with a massive bowl of spaghetti topped with a fiery tomato sauce and upscale fruits de mer. A light tomato-based sauce with chili pepper flavoring known as “Fra Diavolo”—which translates to “Brother Devil”—is frequently served with fish and pasta.

It’s filling without even being overly heavy for date night recipes, goes beautifully with wine, and has a mildly spicy bite that gets your blood pumping. It would help if you cooked the pasta according to the package instructions, then drained and set it aside.

In the meantime, heat a tablespoon of the oil over medium-high heat in a big, high-walled pan. Add salt and pepper to the scallops and shrimp before serving.

Add scallops and shrimp to the pan in batches, and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Put the scallops and shrimp in a large bowl after removing them from the skillet. To stay warm, make a foil tent. Shallots, garlic, crushed red pepper, and oregano should all be mixed with the remaining oil in the pan.

Cook for about a minute on medium-high, or until fragrant and softened. Bring to a boil after adding the hand-crushed tomatoes—Cook for 5 minutes before adding the wine, and continue to cook for 5 minutes more.

Cover the pan after adding the clams. Once the clams begin to fully open, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 8 minutes. Discard any of the clams that don’t open. Add the crab meat, brine, cooked shrimp, scallop mixture, and pepperoncini peppers.

Basil and parsley are combined. To taste, adjust the seasonings and sprinkle the Fra Diavolo sauce over the bucatini. Serve warm and garnish with more basil and parsley.

3. Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese

Lobster makes an appearance when you’re sure that gooey, creamy mac ‘n cheese is the tastiest thing ever. Your dinner date night recipes will get more cheesy and LOBly as a result! Making the best homemade lobster mac & cheese for your special night is pretty simple.

The lobster tails should be boiled in salted water for 8 to 10 minutes before being removed to cool. Make a roux by melting two tablespoons of butter in a heavy stockpot and whisking in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour until mixed.

Chop bacon into 1-inch chunks, let cool, and cut into small pieces. Boil pasta as directed on the package, drain, and set both aside.

After adding the milk, mix until smooth. Add two cups of shredded white cheddar, one and a half cups of shredded Swiss, and a half cup of grated parmesan cheese. Cheese should be melted after whisking.

Stir the cheese mixture before adding the cooked pasta and lobster chunks. Fill a casserole dish with liquid and lightly oil it. In a 425°F oven, bake the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the pasta for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

4. Cast Iron Paella

You’ll scrape your and your partner’s bowl clean after eating this condensed version of the well-known Spanish rice and seafood meal. Due to the intense heat retention of cast iron, a delightful crusty layer of rice will form on the bottom, and serving the meal directly from the pan creates a lovely centerpiece for the dinner table.

You and your partner won’t be able to stop asking for more scoops. It would help if you filled a liquid measuring cup for microwaving with chicken stock. Microwave for 3 minutes on high to heat the liquid, and saffron threads are added and then set aside after stirring.

Dry the shrimp with paper towels on a chopping board, and put aside after seasoning both sides with a teaspoon of salt and pepper. A 12-inch cast-iron skillet of olive oil should shimmer after being heated to a medium-high temperature.

Three minutes later, add the chorizo and stir while it browns in areas. Three minutes after adding the onion, it should be tender. For about 30 seconds, sauté the garlic and paprika until fragrant. Add the rice and stir for 1 minute, until it’s just beginning to toast.

Stir in the tomatoes and chicken stock that was set aside. Turn down the heat to low and place a lid on the pan. Fifteen minutes is the recommended cooking time for al dente rice. After removing the cap, set the peas, mussels, and shrimp on top of the rice.

Heat up to medium-high while covering. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the mussels are open and the shrimp are opaque; any mussels that don’t open should be thrown away. Pour the lemon juice over the paella after removing the top. Serve after adding the remaining teaspoon of salt and parsley.

5. Rosemary Beef Tenderloin With Mushroom Cream Sauce

Are you looking for a fancy dinner for a romantic evening? Pure happiness is steak with mushroom sauce. These last date night recipes impress your lover, especially if they enjoy steak! Rub the steaks with rosemary and garlic after preheating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Sprinkle salt and pepper on each side. In a big skillet over high heat, warm the olive oil. Add the steaks to the shimmering oil and cook for 2 minutes on each side. After transferring the steaks to a baking sheet, put the pan in the oven.

Roast the beef for between 120 and 125 degrees F. at the meat thermometer. Approximately 8–12 minutes for medium–rare–rare. After removing from the oven, cover tightly with foil and give the food 10 minutes to rest. Make the sauce while you wait. It would be best to melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Season with salt and pepper, and then include the shallots and mushrooms. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes or until golden, then toss and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are caramelized. Transfer the mushrooms to a dish from the skillet.

Scrape off any browned parts from the pan before adding the wine. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, or until the wine has completely reduced. Pour the mustard and cream in gradually. The sauce should boil. Simmer on low heat for five minutes or until the sauce slightly thickens.

Add the parmesan after taking the pan off the heat. Red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper are used to season the sauce. Add the mushrooms and stir. Sprinkle flaky salt over the steaks before adding the sauce.
