How to Take Care of Laptop

You buy a laptop with the intention of using it for a long time. Computers aren’t usually changed as often as phones, which are usually upgraded every two years. Why would you do that? If something isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it.

Well, having a nware 17in laptop is like having a car in a lot of ways. With regular care, regular maintenance, and careful use, your equipment will last for many years. Ignoring important things like cleaning and updates from the manufacturer can make a machine slow and hard to use.

If you want your laptop to last as long as possible, you should do these six important maintenance tasks every month. These tips will help your computer last longer and work for every brand of ows laptop on the market.

1. Get rid of old files to clean up your hard drive.

Whether you use your computer for business or simply for fun, it’s likely that you have a few files lying around that you haven’t opened in quite some time and don’t plan to anytime soon.

This may contain outdated images that you have previously published to Facebook, obsolete music tracks that you are no longer interested in, or leftover installation files that have been allowed to rot in your downloads area.

Releasing precious space on your hard drive and assisting in the release of memory to enable your computer to function more quickly.

2. Clear your browser’s Cookies and Cache

This is very important if you want your computer (and web browser) to run fast and stay safe. Even when you use the Internet normally, your browser files will be full of cookies, so taking the time to get rid of them can be very helpful.

Most of our readers use Google Chrome, so it’s important to update the process for this browser. You can also choose the time range you want your deletion to cover, in case you want to keep some important history items.

3. Clean your keyboard and screen (with the proper tools)

Now that we’ve cleaned up your computer’s software, it’s time to look at the physical parts. If you don’t clean your computer on a regular basis, it won’t last as long as it could.

You can keep dirt and grime from building up on your computer if you buy some safe cleaning products. These things are made to work with your system and keep you from breaking its sensitive parts by accident.

Screen wipes that already have water on them are the best way to clean your screen. These things have a safe amount of water that won’t hurt your screen and can help make your display clearer.

4. Clean your ports

You may already know this, but your laptop has a lot of different ports. Each of these is a little different in shape, so it can be hard for a beginner to get inside and get the dirt out.

How safe this is depends on how you use air. Most of the time, compressed air is very, very cold when it comes out of the can. This is probably written on the can, but it’s worth pointing out. If you blow air too close to a surface, a layer of frost will form on that surface for a short time.

5. Check your Microphone and Camera

To keep these things clean, you can use the lens cleaners we talked about above on the camera and a soft, dry cloth on the microphone. Do not clean the microphone with compressed air because it can loosen or move the parts inside that let it pick up sound.

There’s nothing wrong with leaving your microphone and camera open, but if you want more peace of mind, you can cover them up. Buy a sticker that is big enough to cover the width of the camera lens. It is best to use three-dimensional stickers because they are easy to remove if you change your mind.

6. Update your Firmware and Software

This is one of the most important things you can do to make your system last longer and keep it safe. And rightly so, because if your computer were full of viruses, you wouldn’t be able to use it for years.

Because hackers and cybercriminals can be very persistent, software and hardware developers are always putting out updates to make sure their systems are as secure as possible. Even though there might be a bad update every now and then, you shouldn’t avoid security patches.

If you keep your system up to date with updates, it will give you a lot less trouble over time. It’s one of the best ways to protect your system from common security flaws, and if you do it regularly, you can stop new threats from affecting your system.
