It was designed by Frank Gehry, it was erected over 100 feet above the land. It is one of the leading outdoor theatres.

Millennium History:

During the mid 18s between the end of the 20th, the Chicago Millennium park was managed by the Illinois Central Railroad. Its construction started on Grant Park in 1917. 

The top sites to be built were the small empty in the middle of Michigan Avenue and the railroad paths increased from Randolph Street to another road. The real Peristyle was constructed at the side of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street. 

In 1977, four Chicago civic teams suggested the “Lakefront Garden” for the executing humanities. 

The suggested park, which added an executing humanities alcove, will be without any government help.  

Eventually, the Petrillo Music Shell was constructed in Grant Park as an agreement in the middle of the civic teams or the Chicago Park District.

Mayor Richard M. Daley in 1997, he suggested a new music setting to be made over the run paths. 

Millennium Park was first devised in 1998 escorted by the aim of making new parkland in Grant Park to change the unattractive railroad paths and parking areas.
