Inside the fort, there are important temples. One is called Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is very holy for people. Another temple is Kantinath Jain Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Adinath. These temples are religious places and show the impressive architecture of that time.

During the rule of Maharana Pratap, the fort faced an extended attack by the Mughal army led by Emperor Akbar. Even though it was tough, the people in the defense defended it for a long time. Later, when the British ruled India, they worked on fixing and preserving the fort’s old structures.
